Most of the streets in Recoleta look like Las Heras, on the left. I noticed one the other day that was narrower and had cobblestones. At the end of this road was a staircase which led to a quiet rotunda. Just beyond that was Plaza Mitre, a lovely monument that sits on a hill overlooking Libertador avenue. Around the corner was a hidden garden. Through the garden were curving steps that led to the Mariano Moreno Library. Strolling around the library's grounds, I found statues of Cortázar and Borges. On the way back home, I found another picturesque street.

Walking reveals a lot more, especially in a dense city. I'm grateful for spaces that are made inaccesible to cars. Happy to W-A-L-K.
